This has to be one of the stupidest comments by Don Lemon of all time. Donald Trump is now President of the most powerful nation in the world. In fact, many consider the U.S. President the de facto leader of the free world.
So how would CNN cover any world event without covering Trump?
If they ignored Trump, their ratings would go EVEN LOWER than they already have and their sponsorship money would dry up to next to nothing as nobody would tune in. Nice try, Don Lemon – you know nothing about news OR business.

CNN anchor Don Lemon says if it were up to him, his network wouldn’t give airtime to President-elect Donald Trump’s tweets.
“He still needs us more than we need him,” Lemon said of Trump’s strategy with the media.
“Listen, I’m not a news executive. But if I were, I would say I would not cover his tweets.”

CNN and most of the rest of the mainstream media sacrificed whatever credibility they may have had when they decided to run non-stop infomercials for Hillary Clinton rather than covering the news. Trump is reaching the American public directly through Twitter and Youtube, bypassing a media middleman that cannot be trusted to tell us the truth. No one needs your fake news, CNN.
