CRINGE VIDEO : Whoopi Goldberg Compares President Trump to the Taliban

The worst came Tuesday on “The View” from Whoopi Goldberg. The actress and comedian compared the new Trump administration to the Taliban.
“We have had a leader who’s repeatedly demeaned women, wants to defund organizations that benefit women, calls on the media to shut up, specifically wants to give preferential treatment based on religion — are these values really much different than the Taliban’s?” she asked.
Talk about displaying her privileged disconnect. We’re merely days into a democratically elected administration and Goldberg believes she’s living under the Taliban — a group responsible for countless acts of violence against women, homosexuals, children, and others.
“You know, here’s the thing. We have a Constitution that says these are the things that we don’t do. This is what makes us different from everybody else. Our media — nobody tells our media to shut up and just take it. Nobody. That’s not American. That is the Taliban,” she said later, doubling down on her efforts to compare Trump’s administration to an authoritarian militant group.
Goldberg didn’t have such a meltdown when former President Obama put a temporary ban on refugees. In fact, there wasn’t a whole lot Goldberg could find to complain about for eight years under Obama, despite the former leader’s failures even by a liberal’s standards. Now, Whoopi’s comparing Trump to a terrorist organization. With such extreme rhetoric, this is a leap for someone who’s paid to talk politics and culture on television — but we digress.
