College Faculty Member CALLS POLICE and Reports “Pro-Trump” Sticky Note as a HATE CRIME

What has happened to colleges in this country?

The plague of overly sensitive and easily triggered kids and faculty on college campuses across America is reaching disturbing levels.

From safe spaces, safety pins, coloring books, and hot cocoa therapy, our university professors and the future leaders of our country are insane, overgrown toddlers who are incapable of coping with everyday issues.

Case in point – a Trump supporter left a perfectly harmless sticky note on campus, causing students and faculty to flip out, calling the POLICE and demanding it be treated as a HATE CRIME.

From Washinton Times:

A Catholic college called the police after finding a Post-it note with a derogatory message for President-elect Donald Trump’s detractors, but police say they are not taking any action.

A parole officer and detective stopped by Edgewood College in Wisconsin in response to the sticky note — which read, “suck it up p–—s” followed by a winking smiley face.

They concluded that the 3-by-3 inch adhesive placard posed “no immediate threat,” The College Fix reported.

A spokesperson for the Madison Police Department said the matter is “not an open investigation.”

The mocking missive was found on a window at Edgewood College’s Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion. It coincided with a campaign on campus to encourage students to express their feelings about the general election with sticky notes.

Tony Chambers, vice president for student development at the college, called the note a “targeted act of intimidation and cowardice.” He also called the police.

“In accordance with the policies and procedures set forth in the Edgewood College Student Code of Conduct, this incident has been reported to the Madison Police Department and is currently being investigated as a Hate Crime,” Mr. Chambers said in the letter.

Edgewood College is a private school and is not bound by the First Amendment’s right to freedom of speech, said constitutional law professor Eugene Volokh.

“But police departments are bound by the First Amendment — they can’t arrest or prosecute someone for a supposed ‘hate crime’ that consists solely of protected speech,” Mr. Volokh wrote at the time on his Volokh Conspiracy blog. “Edgewood College thus seems to be trying to get the government to punish speech that the government has no power to punish.”
