Charlotte Police Sergent Reveals Most Arrested Charlotte Protesters Are Out of State Criminals
It’s not exactly radical to say that people care about their communities, whether the community is a physical region or a group of people with something in common. When a black person is killed by the police, black citizens of the town served by the cop’s precinct and their allies often protest. It makes sense.
Large-scale demonstrations, though, tend to attract others. Sometimes, the people who come from beyond the region are there because they believe in the message or mission of the protests. Other times, they see an opportunity to act up, get violent, or otherwise cause a scene. Because they aren’t from the community, they aren’t as likely to care about businesses or reputations as those who are protesting because they want to make their town a better place. These destructive demonstrators are called “agitators” and it is widely believed that Ferguson, Missouri, had many of them when they went through an uprising against police brutality and racism in 2014.
CNN’s Erin Burnett tweeted today that she had learned how many of those who were arrested at the protest last night in Charlotte, North Carolina, were from other states.

While many out-of-state protesters surely believed in furthering the message that America rejects police brutality, it is worth noting that the police sergeant made a distinction between those who were arrested and the real protesters who are specifically going out to represent and defend their city.

all it takes is a couple people to turn a protest into a riot . and it does not matter your color its a proven fact , at a protest people are pissed otherwise why are they protesting. a rock gets thrown a car get the windows knocked out and others will join in , and it is worse with black people . they believe it only happens to them . when in fact its right a twice as many white people are shoot and killed by cops then black people . but if white people would riot like that . believe me it would be handled with a lot more force , because the government knows what could happen if white people starts to gather and stick together , hell look what happened in 1776 .

As American citizens we all have the right to protest against injustice. However, we do not have the right to destroy a city in that process. I agree that these protest marches get out of hand because of a few idiots in the crowd. The sponsor of the protest should be held liable and accountable for all acts of violence. If the sponsor cannot take control than there should not have been a protest march. I believe that injustice may have been done by the cops ( Still waiting for the investigative reports ) however, what protesters are doing is worst. You have witnessed a few cities under total destruction. Businesses in the community destroyed. Now after the smoke clears, where do the community members do their shopping ? Where do people in that city go to work to make a living? Lets just say, enough is enough. If we cannot protest against injustices without committing criminal acts in the process, why not just stay home and watch TV. Being that I have a right to protest, if you don’t agree with what I’m protesting, just stay away and let me protest as I should do if someone else does likewise. We create more of problem when all the smoke clears than what the original injustice or crime committed. Now we all are just as guilty as the cops…ok, still waiting for the investigative report on that also. Lets respect one anothers’ rights. We all have earned the rights just because we are what makes America great.
