Starbucks is once again feeling the heat from supporters of President Donald Trump in the wake of CEO Howard Schultz’s announcement to hire thousands of refugees and displaced immigrants.
On Sunday, Schultz responded to President Trump’s temporary travel ban and suspension of America’s refugee program by vowing to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years.
“There are more than 65 million citizens of the world recognized as refugees by the United Nations, and we are developing plans to hire 10,000 of them over five years in the 75 countries around the world where Starbucks does business,” the Starbucks chairman wrote in an open letter.
Schultz’s plan to hire refugees is not without its critics, however, and many of them have already declared their intentions to boycott the coffee chain:

Starbucks is a scam of expensive style over substance… Want coffee, plenty of better places, few worse or more expensive places. There is no prestige in carrying a Starbucks cup, only expense.

Hey Starbucks, your endless grandstanding for headlines won’t distract from the drop in quality of your coffee! Starbucks coffee is gross. Your politics are backwards and dangerous. Normal people are sick of you. Starbucks used to be a pleasant interlude in the day, but that was a long time ago. Now it’s unpleasant, stressful, and sometimes harassing going to Starbucks due to bad service and poor quality employees.

It would be one thing if Starbucks Coffee was good. But it’s the worst coffee anywhere, always tastes burnt and waaaaay too strong. I don’t spend a penny on garbage. Go to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf if they’re anywhere near. They support our troops and send coffee and tea to them every holiday season.
Glad I gave them up years ago. Grind my own organic beans and enjoy a nice mellow cup of coffee without the bitter brew the CEO is trying to force us to swill. Hire a disabled or homeless vet if you want to help the DESERVING NEEDY.

Starbucks has already hired over 8,000 veterans, many in leadership positions, in their plan to hire 10,000.
Now they want to focus on hiring refugees who have worked abroad, serving our troops as interpreters and support personnel. The people who have worked actively to support our military and put themselves and their families in harm’s way to help the Untied States.

I love star bucks! But i will boycott. No company should proclain to hire non-citizens over citizens. But… What I really find interesting is at Berkeley (CA) the rioters against Trump putting a temp ban on immigration from 7 pro-terror nations and his friendship with a queer man Milo or Milo’s friendship with Trump (not sure what exactly they were mad about) but I understand the Starbucks there was extensively damaged. And Milo’s speech was canceled. Tolerance?
