U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Kathleen Troia “KT” McFarland as his deputy national security adviser, adding another woman to the top ranks of his administration, according to two people familiar with the transition planning. McFarland has accepted the position, according to one person familiar with the transition, and will work with retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, who Trump named as his national security adviser last week.
