President Trump’s proposed budget is a work of art.
It’s not only an extension of his America First philosophy, focusing on home issues, versus dumping
billions trillions abroad, it’s also a nod to his “Drain the Swamp” mantra, by going lean and mean and cutting the layers upon layers of DC fat.
President Trump’s budget is very America-centric, so of course, big government globalists are coming out against him.
In an ideal world, every state in the union would have each item on their wish-list funded.
However, we have a deficit crisis and everyone must tighten their belts, sacrifice, and find new and clever ways to fund state programs. not quibble and bicker against the man trying to save the damn country.
This isn’t the time to play partisan politics and come out against the man trying to save the entire country, not just one state.
Below is a rundown of which big government globalists are opposing President Trump’s America First budget.
Kentucky Congressman Hal Rogers
“While we have a responsibility to reduce our federal deficit, I am disappointed that many of the reductions and eliminations proposed in the President’s skinny budget are draconian, careless and counterproductive.”
Ohio Senator Rob Portman
“The Great Lakes are an invaluable resource to Ohio, and The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative has been a successful public-private partnership that helps protect both our environment and our economy,” Portman said.
Texas Representative Mike Conway
“On the USDA budget, I am concerned that the cuts, while relatively small in the context of the total federal budget, could hamper some vital work of the department,” he said. “I think it is very important to remember that net farm income is down 50 percent from where it stood just four years ago.”
