BREAKING : Roger Ailes Reportedly ‘Happy’ Over Megyn Kelly’s Failed FOX Special
It’s no secret that Americans dislike Megyn Kelly – a fact that was bolstered by the ratings flop of her first Fox Special.
As a matter of fact, Kelly is so wildly unpopular that ratings GIANT Donald Trump couldn’t save her. That’s because most Trump backers boycotted the show because of their support for Trump and anger regarding the bias coverage he’s received from the Fox News gotchya journalist.
The hits keep coming for Kelly – it’s being reported that her boss Roger Ailes was overheard “snickering” at her embarrassing ratings disaster.

New York’s Gabriel Sherman is reporting that in addition to being a ratings and financial failure, Megyn Kelly’s interview with Donald Trump has resulted in her losing most of the leverage she had in her upcoming contract negotiations.
Fox executives were willing to consider 9 million viewers a success, but Kelly’s supposedly mainstream appeal didn’t translate to the parent network, and she only netted 4.8 million viewers. It was, as one Fox insider told Sherman, “not good for her at all.”
In fact, her boss Roger Ailes was apparently so tickled by the fact that he would not have to pay her a reported $25 million to remain at Fox News that he was heard “snickering” in a Thursday meeting when the special was mentioned.
Megyn Kelly fell from grace after the first GOP Fox Debate, where she turned the show into a “gotchya circus” by asking Trump silly questions regarding a past feud with Rosie O’Donnel. Americans were outraged at the tabloid-esq journalism and took to social media to air their grievances. However, Kelly and Fox News doubled-down, claiming Kelly was asking “hard journalistic questions.”
Fast forward many months to present day and Fox News is in ratings trouble. CNN has now beaten Fox News in prime time ratings for five out of the last 8 months. They have also won big in weekend ratings and are closing in on daytime ratings as well. It’s getting so close, that where CNN used to have less than half of Fox News’ overall viewership, they are now behind Fox News by only 9%. In addition, and more bad news for Fox, the PPP TV news poll found that viewer trust in Fox News has fallen to an all-time low. Only 41% of viewers trust Fox News.
Of course, we can’t lay all the blame at the cloven feet of Megyn Kelly – Fox has stacked their deck with a slew of anti-Trump (always wrong) pundits like idiot Karl Rove, Chris “Karl Rove Jr” Stirewalt, Stephen Hayes, and Frank Luntz – not to mention those snarky NeverTumper’s, Jonah Goldberg, Rich Lowry, Brit Hume, and Katie “Bitter Betty” Pavlich.
Fair and Balanced has been replaced with Unfair and Toxic.

That’s what I’ve been saying from the first bebate. Fox has gone out of their way to keep Trump haters on the network ever since…may they fall from grace the way Aisles and the others acted. It got so bad I could watch Megyn Kelly.

I agree wholeheartedly with this view!!!! I stopped watching Meghan Kelly after the very first debate that she hosted!! She was so obnoxious with her attitude toward Donald Trump that it was too difficult to watch!!!! I knew that Fox was too “fair-minded” in their business to allow her to continue. I applaud Fox for maintaining their impeccable reputation of giving the viewers all sides to every story instead of just one biased host’s opinion!!!!!
I stopped watching Kelly after that shameful way she handled the first debate. I DVR Sean Hannity and hate having to even see Kelly as his show begins.

I was on Fox News early morning, afternoon, and some evening, I no longer watch any shows because of their trashing Trump, after they first built him up. I’m glad this had happen, they got to big for their britches….
Agree, only watch a couple of shows now. Hannity, O’Reilly, justice jennean and I used to watch Outnumbered but ever since they took out Andrea watch alot loss. No longer DVR the show

Used to love Fox. Loved Kelly when she first got her show. Then success went to her head. Used to watch the five. Now Andrea is gone. Can’t stand Juan. Most of the panels you have on now talk over each other so bad that you can’t understand a word each other are saying. No one seems to be “in Control” anymore. Fox is on a roller coaster going downhill about to wreck.

Murdoch made a discision more than a year ago to take FOX News in a more moderate direction and this is the result. You can’t help but think that decision doesn’t dovetail with a ineffectual Republican Congress & Senate AND a GOP that’s has shown its TRUE Colors as having been stalling & buying time to water down the American peoples ability to force government to be responsive to the will of the people. It is Globalism hook, line & sinker. You have government, you have the media & you have the Multi-Nationals/InvestmentBanks all bent on wresting the right of government to exist from the will of the people to the desires of Globalists. And FOX is just doing their part of the agenda.

I could watch Abc, NBC, CBS for the same news.
I refused to watch Karl Rove, Brit Hume, and not happy with Dana Marino.
They left out the hater pos Walters or whatever that dark haird guy who normally is on Saturday mornings …crazy I used to watch him all the time but I stopped watching Fox after the repeated attacks on Trump I can even remember his name..I only watch Hannity now
I don’t watch Kelly, I DVR Lou Dobbs and after OReilly I was Lou until Hannity. If Fox wants its ratings back – send Kelly to CNN – because I won’t watch here any place she shows up. Love the Katie (bitter Betty) thing. That woman thought she was going to be the new Megyn – guess what – she does not have to wait. She is as nasty, as stupid and as poorly equipped as her mentor. Don’t even bother sending her to CNN – the grown up makeup and helmet hard hair makes her look like a fool. She needs to grow up a bit first.
I am 100% behind Trump but even that couldn’t make me tune into Kelly. AND has anyone realized that no criticism has hit social media regarding Trump and that interview. If that does not tell you no one was watching – nothing will.
Megyn has made the same mistake that a lot of “hosts” make. She falls in love with her own persona and inserts too much of it into the show & interview. Some examples I can think of are Katie Couric (came off as smug and snarky like with Sarah Palin), Paula Zahn, Dan Rather, etc. Examples of hosts who are more even keel and don’t do this are: Charlie Rose, Brooke Baldwin, Bret Baier, etc. There is a fine line that should not be stepped over because in the final analysis the interview is NOT about them but the interviewee. Megyn’s questions to Trump at the first debate were not “tough questions” it was “gotcha journalism” and everyone knows it.
While we are on the subject, the broadcast networks insert themselves into the debates WAY too much – a macrocosm of the Megyn problem. Oh how I yearn for the days when the League of Women Voters used to conduct these debates – we need to return to a more neutral forum. Ailes should replace Megyn’s show with someone like Shannon Bream or Trish Regan – the perfect balance of personality and neutral interviewer! ….and never mean like Megyn.
Megan remains smug and righteous in anything she covers. Even contacting Donald Trump in attempts to regain her own lost ground. She will always be remembered for that first debate. It cost her more than she will ever know. Trump is a Presidential Candidate and she was totally disrespectful…like she thought she could take him down in a single questions and effect his ratings. It boomeranged. The viewers know she will never change. Bye Megan.

Saw the interview to see if she was going to redeem herself, she still missed the point. She acting like if was a fair question to ask, the point was that it was the way that she put to him, she made it sound like he was saying all women were fat pigs. This is just a hit question to bring down Trump making him sound like he hates all women and she still thinks it was a fair question. She still needs to rethink how she asked the question. I don’t care who you think you are, if you attack some one you should expect to get hit back.
We used to look forward to watching Megan, but after the way she treated Donald Trump – she is no longer on our list of programs to watch. We will stick to O’Reilly ( although we do change channels when Watters comes on – Waters makes our young people look stupid – and even though they are, we don’t have to let the whole world know) We will also keep watching Hannity, he is great, he tells it like it is.

It is astounding what Trump’s candidacy has exposed about the so called “conservative media”. I am so grateful for his POLICY stands: enforce the border, rip up these traitorous trade deals, America First in all decisions, standing up to the media and political correctness. Just these “no brainer” policies have exposed the Washington Conservatives as nothing more than open borders, neocon Soros globalists. Fox News STILL won’t talk about TPP, the Wall, the border, Muslim refugees, neocon globalism, or the corruption in Congress and Washington D.C. Fox evidently sold out a long, long time ago. We are just now seeing it thanks to Donald J. Trump. Boy were we a bunch of chumps!

Megyn was played by the network heads. Trouble is she wasted to be a feminist for sll women. Her presentation was not a question rather an attack. I think the network should pay her the 25 mil. and retire her. After all she believed what they were giving her the bullshit and she swallowed it hook line and sinker. Get rid of the eye candy and stop with the propaganda. Know one believes your contaminated altered views. Hannity should find or develop his own network. Hannity stop sitting on the fence I understand the concept of not making a choice but i think you could bring a new dimention to your listeners. You could teach millions on how to disect the issues on making a value objective conclusion on how to choose a candidate. Fair and impartial even if you voice your opinion.
Fox lost me after the first debate. I used to be an avid fan, but I doubt i’ll go back. I’m no longer interested in the hypocritical BS that goes on.

Megyn Kelly is a self-centered putz…she claims to be a “journalist”, but at my university we were taught that it is essential for a good journalist to remain *Objective! Kelly’s comments to Trump at the 1st debate, 1st question was not objective…it was a feminist statement! Kelly should go back to be an ” ambulance chasing” lawyer like Gloris Alred, because Megyn will never be a Barbara Walters!
I tried to watch the 2nd part of the Trump interview but it sickened me after 5 minutes. The interview was not about Trump, but it was about M.Kelly. She used the word “I” over and over and constantly referred to herself. Feeling frustrated and ill, I changed the channel.
I also was a FOX junkie, but now I’m watching CNN most of the time. Fox should give Greta Kelly’s time spot. Kelly tries to talk in depth about Trump, but she doesn’t seem to understand average people like Trump does. Her analysis of Trump’s character is very short sighted. It’s subjective, and a journalist in order to be good needs to be objective and mostly neutral. Thus far only Sean and Greta are presenting Trump as a normal person. The rest keep falling back into the PC current that people have let themselves get trapped in this country. in order to make people’s lives miserable. They try to portray Trump as somebody brush and rough and whatever, just because he dares to say what everybody is thinking. It saddens me to see how this country has changed the culture of responsibility and accountability that made it great when I decided to move here legally.
Fox News used to be excellent but it’s hosts and commentators have become so successful that they now think everything and every revolves around them, not Fox News or the actual story. Megyn Kelly Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly have become so egotistical and self centered that they think the world revolves around them. Greta’s screaming and screeching voice goes right through my head. She virtually never allows her guest to answer the question, even when they basically share the same view and are on the same side of an issue, she’ll ask a question, the guest will begin to answer and then Greta will “shriek-in” with her views…… even when they agree. Fox News was once excellent but it began going down hill when the hosts forgot the fact that it’s about Fox News and the story not their personal ego’s and their thinking that……. they’re God’s gift to the world which, also just so happens to revolve around them. I miss the old Fox News.
I am now watching CNN a lot, They don’t pretend to be fair and balanced, at least we know what we are getting with CNN. Left the 9 pm time slot after the first debate. I was recording Ellen, now I have switched to Newsmax. I will never go back to Megyn Kelly. I hate that Andrea is off of outnumbered. I am still watching it part of the time, I like Harris F. Love the judge on Saturday night. Hard to get your good name back after you show your BUTT.
Megyn Kelly tried to get her ratings up, with a Fake apology to Trump, to Promote her Book! She was a failure! Yes! She is a failure as a Person, and a Journalist!

Luntz is on the up and up, he just tells you what the polls say, but Goldberg and Stirewalt are two of the biggest pieces of dog crap I have ever heard the displeasure of listening to. I have watched Trish Regan as a replacement for Megyn Kelly for the last two evenings and REALLY LIKE HER. I THINK SHE WOULD BE A GREAT PERMANENT REPLACEMENT FOR Megyn. I tend to agree with the gist of the previous comments. Megyn has become the story herself, rather than reporting the stories.
