There are still 50% of Americans that are anti-Trump to sell to and 6 billion consumers worldwide. 6 billion vs 100 million. I know which one I’d choose if I was running a company
MOST of those 6 billion POTENTIAL customers worldwide do not want to pay +150 USD for a single pair of shoes! Even more important to remember —- MOST of them CANNOT AFFORD to pay that kind of money for a pair of shoes! For some people, including me that is good chunk of rent money, or money for food, medicines, clothes that I really need, and other NECESSITIES.
Nike’s expensive shoes are not NECESSITIES and so they can be eliminated from most people’s list of “things I need to buy to survive” like food, medicine, a roof over their head, clothes, etc…. Consequently, Nike needs affluent countries with people who are still suckers for a brand name. Europe would still be a good contender if not for the “refugee” invasion that has everyone counting their Euros because of high taxes and other rip-offs by the EU government in Brussels — so even here in Europe more and more people do not have such a large amount of disposable income to buy expensive non-essentials for themselves and their family members.
Nike will wake up to see that their old client base — middle-class people around the world have had enough of Nike’s expensive and elitist behavior that Nike and similar companies expect us to tolerate and support with our hard-earned money! Enough is ENOUGH! Is Nike going to bring back manufacturing jobs back to the USA and pay workers a decent wage?
If Nike CARES so much they should hire Americans, pay a good wage, and then sell to Americans who can then afford to buy Nike shoes, if they wish! Otherwise, I hope Trump sticks a 35% tax on Nike’s imported products … then we will see who laughs last!
MOST of those 6 billion POTENTIAL customers worldwide do not want to pay +150 USD for a single pair of shoes! Even more important to remember —- MOST of them CANNOT AFFORD to pay that kind of money for a pair of shoes! For some people, that is a good chunk of rent money, or money for food, medicines, clothes that they really need, and other NECESSITIES.
Nike’s expensive shoes are not NECESSITIES and so they can be eliminated from most people’s list of “things I need to buy to survive” like food, medicine, a roof over their head, clothes, etc…. These athletes apparently all graduated with political science degrees as they continually speak about issues they don’t know that much about.
