Breaking News : Amnesty Lover Ted Cruz Supports ‘Special Favors’ for Cuban Illegals

Ted Cruz opposes the popular movement to do away with “special status” given to Cubans and treat them the same as migrants from any other nation.

Texas has been inundated with a surge of migrants from Cuba, so much so that lawmakers in Texas say it’s time to do away with the “special status” that provides immediate welfare benefits and allows Cubans to apply for legal permanent residency and a green card after they’ve been here for a year.  Lawmakers say that it’s unfair to immigrants from other countries who don’t get the same deal.

In a not-so-shocking twist, Ted Cruz doesn’t agree with Texas lawmakers.

Cruz’s outspoken father was an immigrant from Cuba, and Ted is an immigrant from Canada, according to his wife, Heidi. This is likely why Ted is in favor of continuing welfare and other benefits to Cuban’s.

Ted’s reasoning for wanting to keep the Cuban Adjustment Act intact is that Cuba isn’t a free country.

Someone should explain to Ted that America is no longer a “rich” country – and hard-working Americans who are unable to make their own ends meet, should not be expected to pay out more welfare benefits.

Cruz said, “I look forward to the day when the Cuban Adjustment Act is no longer necessary because a free Cuba will have returned.”

Over 30,000 Cubans have flooded into the U.S. over the past 7 months, including 4,000 who are being flown in from Panama this month. Cubans have immediate access upon arrival to federal welfare benefits, including, TANF (cash welfare), SNAP (food stamps), and Medicaid, work permits, and a Social Security number.
