BREAKING NATIONAL POLL – TRUMP LEADS HILLARY 43-39 (Rasmussen)
The tables have turned in this week’s White House Watch. After trailing Hillary Clinton by five points for the prior two weeks, Donald Trump has now taken a four-point lead.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Last week at this time, it was Clinton 44%, Trump 39%. This is Trump’s highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. His support has been hovering around the 40% mark since April, but it remains to be seen whether he’s just having a good week or this actually represents a real move forward among voters.
Trump now earns 75% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 14% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 10% of GOP voters. Both candidates face a sizable number of potential defections because of unhappiness with them in their own parties.

Part of that good week was a widely praised speech in western Pennsylvania about trade, and a stunning vote among United Kingdom citizens to leave the European Union – a move that resonated with Trump supporters.
Trump is gaining ground among younger voters, at least among Rasmussen’s sample of Americans: While other polls show Clinton with sizable leads in that group, Thursday’s release shows the two candidates tied among voters under 40 years of age.
Another source of Trump’s apparent momentum is an advantage over Clinton among crossover defectors who plan to vote against their own party registration.
The billionaire Republican has cornered 14 per cent of the Democratic vote, according to Rasmussen, while the former Democratic secretary of state has only attracted the support of 10 per cent of Republicans.
He also leads among independent voters, by a sizable 18-point margin.

After the 2010 midterm elections, Silver concluded that Rasmussen’s polls were the least accurate of the major pollsters in 2010, having an average error of 5.8 points and a pro-Republican bias of 3.9 points according to Silver’s model.

I’ve been saying Trump was going to obliterate the Democratic candidate, since the day he announced. From the very beginning, Trump has spent his life in the public eye, as well as speaking in public. Hilary has failed in publicly elected office, failed as secretary of state, and relied on receiving donations, the full length of her career. Trump has seen a success in international real estate, managing hotel chains internationally, television, and investment. So using basic logic, we can conclude, that having a larger range of skills, and knowing how to negotiate, are the qualities of a much more competent leader.

Seriously? Trump leads Clinton in a single poll out of at least 50, and that’s amazing? Rasmussen Reports is Right leaning to boot. I’d like to see the sensational article if Trump actually leads in any other poll. Fox even has Clinton ahead by 6 points!
I think the point here is that Hillary Clinton’s support is soft, and the election is no slam-dunk for her if she’s the nominee.
As well, despite Trump’s prior missteps, things can easily break his way. If the FBI waits until after the conventions to indict her for felonies, the Dems will have a huge crisis on their hands, even bigger than if the indictments come down before July 25. Clinton has thoroughly pissed off the progressives who support Sanders, and #sellout Elizabeth Warren has not helped Clinton’s brand but rather seriously tarnished her own. Hillary’s busy courting GOP endorsements and votes because she can’t be bothered to even try to throw Sanders’ supporters a bone; she’s leaving somewhere between five and 15 million progressive votes on the table, votes that will likely coalesce behind Jill Stein.

Look at the internals. Rueters had +17 dems and Mrs.bill still only had a 6 point lead. If she is not indicted two things will happen, one , the precious legacy b.o. is so worried about will become even more carter-esque and two, I expect all of the evidence against her will be leaked to the public by someone in the FBI.Even with the sycophantic press, the Independents will abandon her in droves.
Hillary is looking at jail time which makes her unable to be trusrworthy with US classified information. Clinton offers no solutions to the multiple challenges post by the terrorist and other extremist tendencies, her natural option is a long speech as in Benghazi scenario which cost the US the death of an envoy. But Trump got a hold and pragmatism to approach critical American challenge like a bull……as for me Trump all the way.

Rasmussen is a very conservative polling organization.
Always has been.
If there are five or six polling organizations that report results, Rasmussen is ALMOST ALWAYS the one showing the most conservative results.
Because of their long history of exaggerating the electoral strength of conservatives, Rasmussen simply don’t have very much credibility anymore.
I’ve learned to ignore Rasmussen.
