BREAKING : Maddow Scams Audience By Pretending She has Exclusive Trump Tax Returns
Earlier today, Rachel Maddow stunned the world with this shocking tweet.
BREAKING: We've got Trump tax returns. Tonight, 9pm ET. MSNBC.
(Seriously).

The White House responded by reminding her releasing whatever she has would be a FELONY and releasing the following information.
From Hollywood Reporter
The White House says President Donald Trump made more than $150 million in income in 2005 and paid $38 million in income taxes that year.
The White House says President Donald Trump made more than $150 million in income in 2005 and paid $38 million in income taxes that year.
The acknowledgement came as MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said she has obtained part of Trump’s 2005 tax forms, and prepared to discuss the document on her Tuesday night show.
The records have become highly sought-after because Trump refused to release his returns during the campaign, breaking a decades-long tradition. He claimed he was under audit.
The White House pushed back pre-emptively Tuesday night, saying that publishing those returns would be illegal.
“You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago,” the White House said in a statement.
THEN it turned out Maddow was just scamming everyone for a few clicks and ratings.

What Maddow and the fine folks over at MSNBC actually managed to do was get part of a copy of Trump’s 2005 tax return. Which were already 12 years old. And which the White House had already released.
And which the Wall Street Journal had already reported on – a year ago.
Needless to say, the Twittersphere wasn’t all too happy as Maddow droned on…and on…and on during her open monologue, bashing Trump (and throwing out all manner of random, unsubstantiated speculations regarding his finances) without actually giving anyone any new information. Here are a few of the best reactions we found from the less-than-enthused:
