BREAKING : House Passes MAJOR Abortion Bill
On Tuesday the House passed a sweeping abortion that would permanently ban federal funding for abortions and restrict some Obamacare plans that cover elective abortions.
Now, we’ll see if it can get past the Senate.

The legislation, which passed 238-183, would make the Hyde amendment permanent. The amendment, which has been added to spending bills for decades, bans any federal funding from being used to provide abortions.
In addition, it would target Obamacare plans that cover elective abortions. It would not provide Obamacare customers with subsidies used to pay down the cost of insurance if the insurance plan covers abortions.
There is an exception for abortions for rape, incest and to save the life of the mother.
The bill, authored by Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., would not affect an Obamacare customer who does not receive taxpayer-funded subsidies.
The bill was considered in anticipation of the annual March for Life being held Friday, an expected gathering of tens of thousands of anti-abortion activists.
The White House said in a statement Tuesday that if the Senate passes it, President Trump would sign it.
The House passed a similar bill in 2011, 2014 and 2015 that made the Hyde amendment permanent, but each time it stalled in the Senate. This year appears to be no exception, as Republicans would need eight Democrats in the chamber to support it.

Getting this bill through the Senate will be tough. Nothing they like more than the ability to kill fetuses.
That is such BS, it has more to do with allowing women the right over their own bodies and not be controlled by others.
The bill bans federal funding for abortion, not abortion in general, if they can afford it, they still will do it, but not with taxpayer money anymore.
On their own dime.. not a cent from taxes..
It tells me that if a woman needs an abortion they don’t have responsible control over thear body…you are so quick to murder your child …getting pregnant unwillingly seems to me to be an irresponsible act on a woman’s part…
Pro choice here but Im not sure i under stand why we need to federaly fund abortions… health plans can cover it if its a non elective surgery.. Im looking at this from a fiscal point of view
So who is held accountable in the case where it would spare a woman’s life, surely at the very least it should be intentional homicide if not premeditated murder. Am I not correct?
IF, this passes the Senate and IF, Trump rubber stamps it, and IF, the supreme court upholds it, it will be both a great, and sad day. Great, because it will be the tipping point that will cause the vast majority of Americans to turn on the radical right and on Trump, for facilitating their over-step. The sad part will be all the poor women who will have lost their rights in regards to their own body. While the wealthy women, along with their daughters, will see physicians who, for the right price, will be happy to oblige them in terminating their pregnancy. Or, they’ll just jump on a plane and spend a week in Europe! Abortion is as old as prostitution and that’s as old as civilization itself. Abortion was illegal in this country not so, so long ago. Didn’t stop it then, won’t stop it now, or ever. Keep on playing your morality legislation games cause THAT, sorta stupidly will get you back outa power quicker than anything else…yawn…
I believe every woman has a right to choose, but I also believe that taxpayers should not have to pay for her choice. It doesn’t go both ways, if you want the government out of your “business”, you can’t expect them to pay for it.
nthat attitude seems a little short-sighted. Taxpayers will be paying medical bills for doctor’s care and birth of child through increased insurance costs spread around to cover her inability to pay, food stamps, schooling, health care for the child who did not have good pre-natal care.
Well a condom is free at the clinic, or keep your legs closed if you don’t want to get pregnant. Your pussy is your own responsibility not the government’s and we shouldn’t pay for your bad decisions.
