Police are reporting that his name is Esteban Santiago and he flew into Florida via a Canadian airlines.
Fox News is reporting that Santiago is originally from Alaska.

Only Cia can carry on a plane. He checked his gun in , then when he landed went into the bathroom and loaded it and came out shooting. No one slipped up
Uh no, all federal agents can fly armed on a plane. Some locals can too. Everyone can check a weapon into luggage. CIA is intelligence agency, none of them carry CONUS.
Obviously, a hole in the strategy to keep passengers safe has been demonstrated by this killer. The TSA, who should be trying to identify weaknesses in their program through inhouse or external strategy sessions, is failing in their job. They should be asking their own people to think of ways that could successfully defeat their protection strategies and offering bonuses for good ideas.
How is it possible that main luggage is allowed to be opened by their owners while still on airport grounds? Travelers should not be allowed to take their luggage into restroom areas where the traveler can open a suitcase sight unseen. Also, isn’t luggage scanned before loading it onto planes?
That’s stupid. It’s your luggage and you can bring it where ever you want. This has nothing to do with TSA. Anyone can walk into the luggage claim area. Someone from the street has access to that area without a ticket and can carry a weapon in. This has zero to do about a checked weapon.

Checked bag. He picked it up where you claim your bags, went into a bathroom, got it out in the bathroom, then started shooting randomly. He declaired the gun in his checked luggage like hunters do all the time.
From what I’ve read elsewhere, he had the weapon in his checked bag. Went to baggage claim got his luggage, went into the bathroom, got the gun out and then went on his shooting spree.

You can legally check a firearm at an airport, and it will fly with you…..but not on you. Hunters/ Shootersdo it all the time when flying out of state to hunt/shoot
you can check a firearm in your luggage but not ammo, so where did he get it? I bet there are others involved. Either he is a convert to islam or a very good Obama false flag!

As long as the ammo is in it’s own container and locked, same as the gun you can check them in your checked bags, you can not carry it on the plane. The gun and ammo must be declared at the time of the check in, I speak from my own experience here have traveled many miles on planes with my checked guns and ammo.
You can check ammo in checked luggage with gun, just not in chamber.

How can a person like this who went to the FBI have access to a gun and be allowed to trace with one! This is incredible. A person with this type of mental Heath issue should have had all guns or access to guns denied and checked by the FBI when he was investigated! Everybody is missing the point. Very simple if someone mentally unstable make sure he or she has no gun access or ownership/possession. All this other talk is a waste of time. If someone is a nut no gun!!!!

He had checked his gun (empty) into his bag and when they landed he got his gun went into the restroom proceeded to load the weapon and came out shooting and then laid on the ground until the police came.
He had no ammo in his luggage, either the TSA allowed him to take ammo, or someone else gave him the ammo, by leaving it in the bathroom!
You can not check a gun in your carry on it is not checked into your checked bag it is checked seperate you have to go get it from a different place on arrival … it is way different than just a checked bag .I know because I have checked a gun before and it is not just that simple
Wrong that is not true.
Correct, you check your gun and ammo in a locked case. At the airport you sign a paper which is put into the case stating the contents. Only you have the key or combination. Upon arrival, you pick your firearms locked container from the airline security, it is opened and you confirm all of the contents are still there. Then the contents is turned back over to you. You also may bring ammunition along in the case with the gun, it just cannot be loaded.

This is a friend of mine who just happens to share a name with that monster. He is one of the SWEETEST human beings you will literally ever meet and this has completely thrown his life into a tailspin. He had to delete his Facebook and social media after death threats and stuff. He had NOTHING to do with this whatsoever. He’s not an Islamic militant, he’s actually a VERY devout Christian.
Just… please take this down. You’re hurting an innocent person.
