BREAKING : Four Charged With Hate Crimes for Torturing Mentally Disabled teen on Facebook Live
Four black suspects accused of torturing a white mentally disabled teen on Facebook Live video were charged with hate crimes.
They held the boy hostage, threatened him with a knife and forced him to drink water from a toilet.
The four suspects are, Jordan Hall, Tesfaye Cooper, Brittany Covington and Tanishia Covington.
They were also charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint and battery with a deadly weapon on top of the hate crimes, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said earlier Thursday that while the suspects, all of whom are black, made “terrible racist statements” against white people during the on-camera attack, it does not appear to be racially motivated.
In the footage, one of the four suspects screamed, “F–k white people!” and “F–k Donald Trump!” A second video, released Thursday, showed the attackers forcing the teen’s head down inside a toilet bowl, making him drink the water inside.
Guglielmi said the unidentified 18-year-old victim — who is from Chicago suburb Crystal Lake and attended school with at least one of the suspects — was targeted for his special needs. He did not provide further details about the teen’s disabilities.
Authorities are still looking at whether the attack falls under any hate crimes statutes and said they have not yet ruled it out as a possibility.
Charges are expected against the four suspects later Thursday, police said. None of them have been identified, but they are all in custody.
Guglielmi said the teen initially went willingly with his classmate and the three other suspects into a Chicago-area home. It’s possible the suspects were trying to extort something from the victim’s family. They may have kidnapped him and kept him captive for up to 48 hours, he said.
Chicago police said they found the distressed and disoriented victim Tuesday walking around the city’s Homan Square neighborhood. They took him to the hospital for treatment for unspecified injuries and soon discovered he had been reported missing from his suburban home.
The video, posted to and later deleted from Facebook, showed four people brutally attacking the teen. In the clip, the victim is crying with what appears to be tape covering his mouth. His clothes had been ripped, and the attackers repeatedly threatened him with a knife, police said.
The second video showed at least one of the attackers hovering over the teen, who kneeled over a toilet. The suspect then grabbed the boy’s head and submerged it into the bowl.
The videos prompted social media users and notable Republicans alike to label the attack a hate crime, even though police have not yet determined if it is.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich suggested that there was a double standard at play.
“If this had been done to an African-American by four whites, every liberal in the country would be outraged and there would be no question that it is a hate crime,” he said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday.
He continued: “We are right at the edge of a terrible period — which I know President-elect Donald Trump wants to avoid — of having a deep bitter division in the communities in a way that makes America very hard to govern.”
White supremacist Richard Spencer claimed the suspects are Black Lives Matters supporters — which cops have not verified — and called them terrorists.
“This isn’t even the first instance of terrorism against whites by anti-Trump #blacklivesmatter supporters in Chicago,” he tweeted. “Remember the #blmkidnapping every time some journalist lies about my white advocacy organization and calls it a hate group.”

Dietrich, Idaho. In October 2015, 2 white high school football players, John R.K. Howard and Tanner Ward cornered a mentally challenged black teen and sodomized him with a clothes hanger. These same guys had a history of hurling racial slurs at him, such as watermelon eater and nigger, (even forcing him to recite the words to a a song called “Notorious KKK”.) Recently in December the modified plea deal they accepted means they’ll get probation and community service, as well as a clean criminal record if they don’t get in trouble during the probationary period. No hate crime, no sexual assault, just a mere slap on the wrist. I was convinced the black kids were guilty at first and deserved to be tossed under the jail, but obviously you guys are over reacting.

Here’s the difference in the cases according to the stories. Idaho – “it needs to be crystal clear … that this victim was not at any time pinned down, raped, or pinned down and subjected to any sort of forcible penetration.” Which would mean that the victim was a wiling participant. All other offenses against that victim are harassment and assault. Issues the school or parents needed to address before it got to this stage. In the Chicago case, they kidnapped, assaulted with a deadly weapon, and are charged with a hate crime because they were caught yelling hate statements. If you look at the information you have in front of you, while both are seriously disturbing crimes against people, the Chicago case is a more severe crime.

Why was no mention of their attempt to scalp the victim. At one point one of the idiots grabbed a tuft of hair and attempted to cut it off – this resulted a laceration down to the bone. This story absolutely breaks my heart. This story hits too close to home for me. My special needs daughter was murdered almost 7 years ago by 6 people that she considered friends. They did some of the things to her that these 4 did to this boy, but other things that were much worse. They held her for 3 days, of torture resulting in her murder and dumping her body in a trash can. They need to be held accountable for what they did with more than a slap on the hands. I am outraged! But I do thank God that they allowed him to live.

As a mother I literally cannot even imagine the pain you went through and probably still go through, and then to have to relive it seeing this. There are some truly vile humans on this Earth, of every race. Lookup the news article about the three white football players that assaulted a black mentally impaired football player. One player held him while the other two beat him. The player identied as the ring leader assaulted the black player with a hanger up the rectum. The white adoptive parents of the victim had told the school of the constant racial slurs and battering the boy had received before the incident. The school and the coaches did nothing. The white player who assaulted the black player with the hanger plea bargained to a lesser charge and received probation and community service. The DA thought that even though there was a history of racial slurs this was not a hate crime nor did he consider it a sexual assault. I am a white female. I agree all lives matter and believe both acts were hanus. On act does not excuses the other but if we are ever going to live in peace our justice system has to be equal for all. I agree with a harsh sentence for these four teens but the white football players should have received the same
