Fox News is enjoying a sustained post-election ratings bounce, soundly beating its primary cable news competition.
Almost one month removed from the election, the channel is more than tripling CNN and MSNBC in total viewers in primetime, with Fox averaging 2.9 million viewers to CNN’s 960,000 and MSNBC’s 959,000, according to Nielsen Research.
In the key 25-54-year-old demographic that advertisers covet most, Fox is beating CNN and MSNBC combined with 1.82 million viewers in the category versus 765,000 for CNN and 559,000 for MSNBC.
Fox is the only cable news network to increase viewership from before the campaign season ended.
21st Century CEO James Murdoch told Business Insider’s Ignition conference on Tuesday that the network won’t change course much after a turbulent 2016 that included the resignation of former Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes amid sexual harassment claims by several women, including former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson.
“I don’t think it’s about a pivot from a political bias one way or another, it’s about attracting the best talent,” Murdoch said.
“The goal for anyone in the news business is to make sure that you’re presenting the news, breaking news, but also providing different perspectives, consistently putting the best product on the air and investing in that product and that’s something we’ll continue to do.”

I’ll watch both CNN and MSNBC as I’m falling to sleep, just to keep an eye on the enemy.Lemon is a sly race baiter but Rachal Mad Cow Maddows is hard to watch. She has all the hand gestures down, and tends to be very animated. She has no shame and actually believes her shit is important. I just wish the NYT would die.

After listening to all the vitriol about FOX News being bad, all one has to do is watch CNN for a few days to see and hear how disingenuous their reporting has become. The NYT as well. There is no shame with these people. Not only are the carefully filtering WHAT we see and hear, they don’t have the decency to at least report any of that with integrity. The bias and lies from CNN and MSNBC are so substantial that I deleted the channels from my cable box. Every once in a while I click over to CNN and end up quickly leaving the channel because the bias and lies continue unabated. I assume they don’t realize what they’re doing is driving away many potential viewers.

These numbers are devastating for them, because the bottom line is that their advertisers are gonna be leaving in droves. Why pay all that money when no one is watching anymore. All this is leading them to desperation, the reason we are seeing all these attempts at censorship and denying folks freedom of speech. They cannot be allowed to do this.

CNN is no longer a news channel. It, along with MSNBC is a medium for liberal indoctrination. It’s bad journalism. The American public and ALL advertisers should completely abandon both networks. I haven’t watched either network for some time now and I will not use any products that advertise on either network. Millions of choices out there so don’t endorse those networks or their advertisers. Payback for their lies and deceptions.
As of election night both CNN and MSNBC are banned from all televisions in my house. They really do spew hate and claim all Trump executives picks are racist. If you want real and trusted news FOX and the FOX BUSINESS channel will provide it, I tend to fact check their information. And don’t forget about BREITBART news, very well informed they keep up with what’s currently trending while reporting what’s going on with tax payer $$$$$$. They expose all the corruption going on in Washington and especially corrupt California……illegals are running rampant (out of control).

I watched MSNBC for over ten years. But their executives have sold out to a pro-corporate agenda, including blatantly supporting corporatist Democrats. When did you ever see a breakdown of the terms of the TPP in prime-time on MSNBC? Never. But Maddow will count Chris Christie’s cones on the GW bridge for you every night for two weeks.
And since the election the network is more preachy and peevish than ever. I tuned back into Fox after 12 years off, and Kelly’s show actually has a broader range of debate and covers more ground in a single hour.
I agree with all of you 100%. I haven’t watched CNN or MSNBC since the primaries started because of the biased reporting, smug remarks, and just out and out lies. And I haven’t bought any of their sponsors products since then either. I was getting a little ticked with FOX for awhile, but they cleaned up their act real fast. There are still a few on Fox that I would like to stuff a sock in their mouth, Julie, Geraldo and one other “know it all” guy he’s short, Spanish and Black but I can’t remember his name.

Where were CNN and MSNBC while the DNC was fixing the primaries? They were carrying water for Clinton and outright lying about Bernie’s supporters saying thing like they were throwing chairs etc. There was a huge story there yet nobody reported it. How DARE they want us to watch them lying sacks of crap. They are responsible for Trump being elected. If they had been honest we would have Bernie Sanders. Do some math. Fox News is on every cable system I’ve seen. CNN fewer. MSNBC much fewer. If you rate by POTENTIAL audience, I bet you’ll find that Fox News isn’t doing that well. CNN has a lot of specials, and MSNBC has Prison Weekend.
Fox News is refusing to report that the CIA found that Trump colluded with Russia to win the election. They are warning their viewers of an upcoming “fake news” onslaught coming from MSM. But so far it’s being reported by the NYT, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, Washington Post, and others. Trump’s reaction was to mention the CIA’s involvement in the weapons of mass destruction lie. I think that was being pushed by the Bush admin, not the CIA.
