BREAKING : CBS News Anchor Says Mainstream Media Ruined Its Own Reputation
Our dishonest mainstream media likes to blame President Trump for their failing ratings and declining trust with the American people.
However, President Trump is not the one spreading fake news and outlandish liberal propaganda all across the airwaves.
John Dickerson, the host of CBS “Face the Nation,” says it’s not Trump’s fault that the media is failing – on the contrary, the mainstream media has ruined their own reputation.

John Dickerson, anchor of CBS’s “Face the Nation,” disagrees with reporters who say President Trump is eroding the national media’s credibility.
In a radio interview Friday, conservative host Hugh Hewitt referred to the previous day’s press conference at the White House, in which Trump laid into the news media and told reporters in the room that the public cannot trust them.
“But that one comment, they don’t trust you anymore, is a summation of where we are in America, because I really do think Manhattan-Beltway elites have lost the country,” Hewitt said. “They’ve lost it.”
Dickerson agreed.
“Yes, it’s true, and it’s not because of anything obviously Donald Trump did. The press did all that good work ruining its reputation on its own, and we can have a long conversation about what created that,” Dickerson said.
“Part of it, though, is what you mentioned about the local weather report, which is to say a lot of hysterical coverage about every little last thing that doesn’t warrant it,” he added.
After Thursday’s press conference, which lasted more than an hour, many in the media said Trump’s broadsides against the press were hurting the country.
“This not a laughing matter,” NBC “Meet the Press” anchor Chuck Todd said on Twitter after the conference. “I’m sorry, delegitimizing the press is unAmerican.”

When they all thought their chosen one, Hillary was going to win they came up with the idea that not accepting a peaceful transfer of power was un American and un patriotic….now that they have lost we see them using Nazi “brown shirt” violence tactics to try to change a legitimate election. Their puppet media doesn’t accept the results either and uses their platform to try to undermine the current Presidency. Problem is both the Dem party and the media continue to dig their own grave. Is any sane American going to vote for the Dem party at any level after all the violence and destruction of property they have sponsored? And the media? Even with Trumps poor approval numbers, his administration is considered more trustworthy than the media. Their approval rating is by far worse than Trump’s.
That’s a fact, they sold out their profession, their prestige, their dignity and reputation! They chose to flood the airwaves with bias, yellow journalism, propaganda,their political a agenda,and their opinions (which we do not want or need). Worse than selling themselves out, they sold out the American people , the people’s trust and our nation! Yes our nation, our forefathers gave the press special protections under the constitution, it was to be a check and balance in our democracy. To answer such a critical call it requires you to set aside predetermined notions, biases,personal agendas, opinions and theatrics! Such an honorable calling demands those things and more, examples being, search out truth,present truth and facts,hard work and integrity! Not all but, a majority of you have failed to answer that call!! As a people we all lose out when it has come to this! You made the mess, is it going to be the blame game or will there be soul searching and renewal? How I miss Walter Cronkite and Paul Harvey!
You don’t need “a long conversation” about how the media turned bad. It’s simple. In the 1990s, the media consolidated under 6 conglomerates and is now controlled by a handful of globalist propagandists who abuse their media ownership to push their demented dystopian fever dream for the world.
No. They abuse their media ownership to enrich their bank accounts and the lives of all around them. Period.
The mainstream media creates nothing but fake, anti-Trump news 24/7 and now when Trump calls them out on it, they don’t like it,(the truth hurts”). So if they continue reporting fake, anti-Trump news then they have no one to blame but themselves. If they want RESPECT from President Trump then RESPECT should be given as well.
The msm/democratic party are right now,one in the same.They are both struggling to stay relevant,but without change,they will continue the downward spiral. Until they come to accept that fact,morons like chuck todd will continue to circle the bowl.
Cumo saying on air: “It is illegal to read Wikileaks, we will tell you what it reads.” That did it for me! I knew right then and there MSM thought they were talking to a country of 6 year old kids. Wake up advertisers that sell ads on those news stations, we will boycott you too. Time to head to You Tube channels for actual ‘real news.’
His statement alone identifies the “real” problem with today’s national media! They only want the American people to know facts that are beneficial to them and their cause — they don’t want us to view Wikileaks ourselves (because we’ll read ALL of the emails)….they would prefer we allow them to report piecemeal on words and phrases that won’t “hurt” their cause! Can you imagine if the American people only knew what was told by national media organizations? We’d all be walking backwards with toothbrushes in our mouths! If you listen to the news today, you are UNINFORMED! It’s just that simple! They will only report the words and phrases they choose and not the entire story! It’s a shame that the country is where it is today, but in order to clean up, Americans have to be involved and stand up against wrong! I believe we are on the path of reclaiming this country, no matter who doesn’t like it, including those who want to lie to us daily about current events/facts!
I am NO watcher of CBS, but I respect Mr. Dickenson for telling the truth. That was refreshing.
Agree 100%!…..and Chuck Todd is a hater, so much anger, you can see it on his face. You don’t want to start your day listening to him. I’m not watching Today’s anymore. Be professional, neutral!
