BREAKING : 88 U.S. Generals and Admirals Endorse Donald Trump in Public Letter

Some 88 retired U.S. generals and admirals are endorsing Donald Trump in an open letter, saying they support the Republican nominee and “his commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamic supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically.”
“As retired senior leaders of America’s military, we believe that such a change can only be made by someone who has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world,” the letter states. “For this reason, we support Donald Trump’s candidacy to be our next Commander-in-Chief.”
“It is a great honor to have such amazing support from so many distinguished retired military leaders,” Trump stated in response to the endorsement. “I thank each of them for their service and their confidence in me to serve as commander-in-chief.”
Trump continued:
Keeping our nation safe and leading our armed forces is the most important responsibility of the presidency. Under my administration, we will end the weak foreign policy of the last eight years, rebuild our military, give our troops clear rules of engagement and take care of our veterans when they come home. We can only Make America Great Again if we ensure our military remains the finest fighting force in the world, and that’s exactly what I will do as president.
Major General Sidney Shachnow, the only survivor of the Holocaust that became a U.S. general, and Rear Admiral Charles Williams, who received the Legion of Merit, organized the public letter.
“He has the temperament to be commander-in-chief,” stated Shachnow in a press release announcing the endorsement.
Williams suggested the letter means that military leaders believe “Donald Trump is more trusted to be commander-in-chief than Hillary Clinton.”
“Hillary Clinton has made clear she is running as a staunch defender of the status quo when it comes to the issues facing our military, and she has shown through her foreign policy decisions and her mishandling of classified information that she lacks the judgment to do the job,” Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn added in the press release. “Mr.Trump’s deep and growing support in the military community and his thoughtful proposals show he’s the right person to lead our men and women in uniform.”

As a Veteran , I am glad to hear this , NO ACTIVE DUTY Military that I know of want Hillary , They do want Trump .

Republican candidates typically have no shortage of military supporters: 500 retired admirals and generals took out an ad in the Washington Times to show support for Gov. Mitt Romney on the eve of the 2012 election. Romney also had 354 retired generals and admirals on his “military advisor council” — just 36 of whom appeared on Trump’s list this week”. – Gen. Sounds like Trump rounded up the “JV” squad retired armchair quarter-backs, few if any did little more than push pencils.
Pete. Your disgusting “arm chair” shot at these veterans is beyond the pale. Just because General Barry McCaffrey recognized the names of a few, doesn’t mean that they sat on their laurels doing nothing. No one ever heard of McCaffrey either before 9/11, but I will bet you that he was doing some great work for the nation. Just remember that a lot of Generals obtained “name” recognition because they were appointed to a position of prominence, but they really didn’t do anything. Alexander Haig was one, Clark was another and so on. Not everyone could be a Patton, or a McArthur, or an Eisenhower, or a Bradley….but, in their own way – they served this nation with honor and deserve our respect.
That’s just 88 votes, Mr. Trump. Won’t help you much. You still don’t know how the US Government functions and I remember you saying you only wanted the title of President but didn’t want to do the work. So we Democrats will work extra hard to make sure you don’t get anywhere near the White House.
Just because Gen McCaffrey does not recognize the majority of the 88 names on the letter, does’ not mean the message is irrelevant. As Flag Officers they all have a deep appreciation of what HC stands for as well as Trunp when it comes to maintaining a strong meaningful military. HC appears to sit with the status quo while Trump is committed to rebuilding our military might. The most significant issue is Trump is not locked into the “do not rock the boat” and whose allegiance is not influenced by the Clinton machine which appears to touch and control who does what to whom and how it’s to be done. Another reason why Trump will make a difference.
