The people in the highest populated areas voted for her not all the people. She got the top cities population but that only counts for a few votes. Because those areas only have a certain number of votes. The area with smaller population (such as suburbia) voted mostly for trump. So yea she won the most votes but trump won state votes not just city votes.

She won the popular vote by .2%. That is roughly 200,000 votes, a lot more people voted third party this election, so she truly didn’t win the popular vote, she just got a few more then Trump. The electoral college has been around for a quite so time, to prevent only the States with the largest populations from running the election. Everyone knew this going into the election. Trump won, by getting States that in the past have been predominately Democrat, mainly Iowa and Pennsylvania. While it is rare to win the popular vote and lose the election, is does happen. America is not a tyranny of the majority. Democracy has long been known to not actually be a good way of governing. The 51% can trample all over the 49%.
That’s the purpose of the electoral college. It very ingeniously balances the weight of everyone’s vote so that a State like California doesn’t end up deciding everything for the nation because it has the largest population. That would be tyranny of the majority: California would decide everything just because it’s the biggest. The purpose of the electoral college is to not let something like that happen: instead we have the electoral college which allows States with a smaller, yet still passionate population to contribute to the decisions made in our country.

We are not a democracy; we are a constitutional republic, and there is a difference. The Electoral College vote count determines the winner, the number of electoral votes per state being determined by the population of the state. Yes, the number of votes can change when the population of the state changes. I used to think the system was unfair, but research changed my mind. To go straight popular vote virtually guarantees a victory to one side only….every time. The Electoral College levels the playing field so that opposing sides have a chance.

The reason our founding fathers created the electoral college is large cities and large states would have total control just by population. The smaller states like Wyoming would have NO voice. Winning the popular vote does NOT mean the people elected her, because only the Electoral College can elect anyone for President of the United States.
Furthermore, no one won the Electoral College yet for the 2016 race. They don’t vote until December, and there’s always a chance that some of the selected members do not vote in accordance with their state

Maybe you should learn a little more about why there is an Electoral College, most today don’t know. It was designed to protect the smaller and lower populous states from the larger population states from suppression. Because life is different everywhere and so are politics it was recognized that the popular vote would allow certain states to always rule the other states when choosing a president. Since we live in a democratic republic and not a democracy. It was important that the states in the republic would have equal say in who would lead the country. The rest of the system was set up to give the people a direct voice through congress and the states a voice through the Senate. States run as a democracy but they co-exist as a republic.
Many young people don’t realize this because civic and government courses have been removed in most places from the High School education system.
Second note she did not win the popular vote to do that she would have to carry 50% or more, she currently has the majority vote. This is likely to not hold since it’s been discovered that over 3 mil illegals voted and 75 to 85% of those are Hillary votes.

Not this election, or any other, was about electing the best Christian, worse Christian, or who is or isn’t, or has ever been a Christian. It wasn’t about voting for a lesser or greater evil or who has the best morals or the greatest tolerance for those without good morals. Neither was it about who is in the best of health, has the best hairdo or says the F word the least times! The election was about putting into office the person who is best suited to do the most good for this country and preserve the constitutional rights of the people, and preserve life itself. It was about defending what we have left of a country that has lost so much already and protecting our remaining freedoms. It was about building a greater and stronger America. Let us all go out and do what we can to help.

No one is blaming anyone, we used statistics. Stats told us that primarily white people voted for trump. And a lot of people wanted Hillary. She won the popular vote… You are spreading misinformation and making the world a stupider less informed place.

Everyone keeps saying Hillary won the popular vote, well I will happily break the news to you all still talking about that point and let you know, over 3-MILLION NON American’s voted in this election, so if you claim she won by 600 and some thousand votes, what that really means, she lost by over 2.4 million votes which should not be counted! But here is the reap problem for the democrats, Blacks, Latino’s, and all the rest of the different mixture of people we have in this country said NO MORE! They didn’t want someone who is a criminal, or tied to a criminal organization, and assisted by people who many in the world believe to be truly evil. And one of their major backers now has a arrest warrant like back in the days of our old wild west, “Dead or Alive,” for we know of roughly $17-million dollars he gave to the Clinton campaign, outwardly, but who knows from what was put in behind the scenes. Both of these refer to George Soros, and he believes America will be pulled along by the new economy in China, while we here in America fizzle out, and slowly vanish without a trace. These corrupt people, willing to wreak millions upon millions of lives, all of you possibly reading this, and you honestly want these wretched people running our government?
To all those whining and complaining the Hillary won the Popular Vote (by ~500,000 votes), think again. They’ve already discovered around 3 MILLION illegals who voted for Hillary, which will most likely be disqualified (only American Citizens are allowed to vote, and illegals are, by definition, NOT citizens).
So, Hillary not only lost an Electoral College landside, but she lost the popular vote by over 2 Million votes.
Now you have nothing to protest about.
