Billy Joel Dedicates Song To Trump – Diss or Compliment?

Friday night Bill Joel held a concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC. During the concert, Joel dedicated his 1974 single “The Entertainer” to Donald Trump.

Trump thanked Joel by tweeting out, “Thank you @BillyJoel- many friends just told me you gave a very kind shoutout at MSG. Appreciate it- love your music!”

However, countless media outlets claim Joel’s dedication is actually a criticism of Trump’s presidential run.

While people banter back and forth over whether the dedication was a compliment or a diss, I will remind you all that Donald Trump has an incredibly savvy mind for media and he knows how to work a crowd.

It’s not about why Joel said what he did, it’s simply enough that Trump is such a powerhouse that the Piano Man was compelled to say anything at all.

Oh, and bonus: If Joel did mean the dedication as a diss – Trumps gentlemanly reply makes Joel look like a total jerk.

And that folks is called the ART OF THE DEAL.
