BEN THE BULLY – How Ben Shapiro’s Culture of Fear & Intimidation Exists to Silence Trump Supporters

By Amy Moreno

Is there something in the water that turns an average person into a foaming-at-the-mouth “Never Trump” belligerent?  Why not ask Ben Shapiro – the one-time respected editor at Breitbart News, who went from a common sense voice of conservatism to a squawking kook in record time – all because of some mysterious anger towards Donald J. Trump.

It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact origin of Ben’s “Never Trump” fetish – at one point he was a yuge fan of Mr. Trump and believed he’d be “the best” Republican presidential candidate. He even wrote an article about it.

“Is Donald Trump the best Republican candidate for president out there? It would be tough to argue otherwise. He’s got all the makings of a breakout star; he’s got bravado and the cash to back it up. If he really runs, he won’t have any trouble finding supporters.”

Ben’s seething hatred may have developed over the past year as he watched Mr. Trump dominate the spotlight, drive the narrative, and connect with millions of conservative Americans in a way that’s unprecedented in modern-day politics.  Something Ben himself has been unable to accomplish with his obscure speaking tours at college universities.

We know that Ben used the Michelle Fields scandal, where she faked an “assault” by Trump’s Campaign Manager, Corey Lewandowski, to his advantage by forming his new SJW (Social Justice Warrior) persona. The bogus Fields story became Ben’s bully-pulpit by which he attacked Mr. Lewandowski, Mr. Trump, and Trump supporters, calling them “thugs,” and “liars” among other hurtful slurs – all in the name of “social justice” for the so-called “victim,” Michelle Fields.

Many found it interesting that when faced with the developing Fields story, Shapiro, who coined the term, “facts don’t care about your feelings” abandoned all facts, and the conservative beliefs in his book, “Bullies” and lashed out at Team Trump with a remarkable arsenal of Liberal bully tactics.  Some of those tactics came straight out of his book.

“Agents of the left coordinate and engage in name calling, incite violence using heated rhetoric, intimidate opponents, and then step back to claim clean hands and preach tolerance. ”

I’m sure Ben would argue that he was not bullying anyone with his name-calling, mislabeling, and inciting emotional frenzies.  He was just an agent of justice.  He was preaching civility.  His hands are clean.

In dramatic Shakespearian fashion, Shapiro exited stage left and parted ways with Breitbart, essentially claiming he couldn’t work with monsters who refused to stand up for “justice.”  Their hands were dirty.  His hands – still clean.

Shockingly, after video proved Michelle Fields fabricated much of her story and prosecutors dropped all charges, Ben did not relent. There was no apology or retraction from Mr. Shapiro.  By this point, he had lost his job, his credibility, and his reputation.  So, Ben did what any good SJW/bully would do – he sat in his Twitter tower and doubled down on the heated rhetoric and intimidated his opponents while keeping his hands oh-so-clean.

No one knows for certain what happened to change Ben Shapiro from a fact-loving/anti-bully conservative, into a fact-lacking/progressive bully.  Some speculate it’s simply old fashioned “payola.” After all, Shapiro’s website, The Daily Wire, receives funding from the Wilks brothers, two Texas billionaires who are backing Ted Cruz for president.

One thing is clear – Bully Ben’s next book should be titled, “Hypocrite.”
