An Open Letter to Mr.Trump – We NEED Term Limits

Dear Mr. Trump,

You have opened America’s eyes to a corrupt political system – the likes of which we’ve never seen – mainly because we’ve been asleep at the wheel for the past couple of decades.

From the moment you descended the escalator at Trump Tower we’ve born witness to a slew of political deceptions. From a rigged voting system that favors the crooked establishment to dishonest media shills who make “Baghdad Bob” look “trustworthy.” From incompetent trade deals, globalization destroying America to political correctness that’s killing our citizens, illegal immigration failures, ISIS, and much, much more.

Yes, Mr. Trump, you’ve opened our eyes, and we finally know what the hell is going on. However, with our renewed sense of awareness, there comes a daunting feeling of dread.

It’s a lot to take in.

We understand that reform is a process that takes time and hard work, however, one way to speed up the process and offer immediate relief and hand a victory to the American people is through term limits.

Mr. Trump, we have politicians who have been “serving” the public for over fifty years.

FIFTY YEARS.

That type of work ethic in the private sector is commendable. However, in the public sector, it borders on criminal.

These career politicians, whose intentions may have been stellar during term 1 or term 2, are now wholly incapable of inventing fresh ideas or effectively identifying and reforming corrupt policies and procedures. Furthermore, their very connection to a power-cycle that corrupts with absolution renders the “service” portion of “public service” virtually meaningless.

America’s Career politicians have been dancing the DC Shuffle for so long now they can do it in their sleep.

And many of them do.

It’s no wonder we have exploitation, dishonesty and fraud growing throughout the root-system of our government. We elect politicians who enter the hallowed halls of congress and the senate hopeful and fresh-faced, only to emerge decades later looking and sounding like undead political zombies.

Mr. Trump, I implore you to consider starting a serious dialogue about term limits.

If ever there was a time in American politics to discuss term limits, it’s now. 

Mr. Trump, There isn’t an (unelected) American who would disagree with you on this issue – it’s one of those “bipartisan” gems that virtually everyone can rally behind.
