An Open Letter to Mitt Romney From a Former Romney Volunteer
Dear Mitt,
Wow, this is hard.
I had to gather my thoughts as I sat down to write this letter because my anger and disappointment in you is so overwhelming, it was obscuring my ability to be rational.
Then, it finally came to me.
I realized that I needed to travel back to a time and place when I believed in you.
Las Vegas, 2012.
It is from that very place, where I begin.
However, before we venture back to your Las Vegas campaign headquarters on W. Tropicana Blvd., let’s go a bit further back in time.
I’ve been a Republican since I cast my first vote for George H. W. Bush. However, even before that, in high school I was a proud member of The Young Republicans and volunteered on Reagan’s second campaign, spreading the good-conservative-word to lost souls.
So, it only made sense that when you won the primary and were handed the mighty GOP torch that I would heed the call and race to your side to fight the good conservative fight.
I spent my free time sitting in that bleak strip-mall storefront on W. Tropicana Blvd., calling lists of hostile independents and angry “Republican-leaning” Democrats, repeating my pre-written spiel so often I could say it with my eyes closed.
Weird, why was everyone so mad?
I shook off the negativity – jerks be damned, we had work to do – and on the brighter side of the rainbow, anytime we’d get a caller who supported you, we’d tap a bell on the center of the table.
Ding, ding, ding!
I couldn’t care less about the people screaming how they’d rather write-in Ron Paul’s name than vote for a “Cold-hearted Wall St. asshole like Mitt Romney!” None of that mattered because this was an EPIC FIGHT to regain our country from the evil clutches of Obama, and you were carrying the torch of conservatism!
Ding, ding, ding?
Damn that stupid bell.
It didn’t ring very often.
Some days I hardly heard it.
Ding?
That’s ok – no one said it would be an easy fight, so I kept calling and calling – and the most remarkable thing happened Mitt.
People seemed to get angrier.
One call, in particular, shook me to the very core of my “conservativeness.”
I’ll never forget that man.
Ring, ring, ring.
“Hello Sir, my name is Amy, and I am calling today on behalf of the Mitt Romney campaign…..”
“Mitt Romney doesn’t care about me,” the gruff old man shouted into the phone. “Oh, yes, he does,” I softly begged to differ, eager to spread the “good word” to another lost soul. However, he quickly cut me off. His voice was broken and trembling – I could hear the tears soaking through his words.
I held my breath as he began, “No little lady, he’s like the rest of them DC politicians. They only care about themselves – face it,” he whimpered, “We’ve lost our country.”
Click.
Lost?
No, no, Mitt cares….He’s just….He has….He wants….
Holy shit, why is everyone so damn mad?
Fast forward to today and I get it now.
The Ron Paul supporters were years ahead of the rest of us in seeing the lies, corruption, and shadiness of the Grand Ole Party. It took people like me another four years of deception and trickery to finally admit that I belonged to a party of neocon globalists who were destroying America.
That old guy was right. You didn’t care about him, or me.
And so it came to pass, election day arrived, and you failed. Looking back on it – the loss seems so obvious, however, back then I was devastated and I didn’t understand where we went wrong.
I’ll admit I cried.
Sobbed.
Now, though, I realize what happened. You didn’t fail because you went off “script,” or altered the establishment status quo.
No.
You failed because you remained the same rigid, neocon globalist you’d always been during a time when the notion of change was whirling around us like a tornado.
You failed because you snubbed the Ron Paul supporters, dismissing them and their desire for reform with an arrogant flick of the wrist. It’s the same smug disrespect you show millions of Trump supporters each time you descend from your Park City mansion to give a speech or an interview condemning Donald Trump.
When you attack him, you attack us, Mitt.
We’re a team.
Ding, ding, ding.
You had your chance – twice – and you failed.
It’s over.
My god, it was over back on W. Tropicana Blvd. in Suite 106, across from that crappy Starbucks that never had sugar-free vanilla lattes.
Times have changed, Mitt and the future is moving ahead without you and your archaic neocon pals.
Today, we the people have a brighter, sharper candidate – someone who has successfully harnessed the winds of change to his advantage and is soaring in ways you could never imagine.
So, Mitt, while I know it hurts to say goodbye, it’s time for us to fly.
Enjoy Park City – it’s where you belong.
#Trump2016

Ltgrunt45 I wish I had written this letter. It is eliqunt and most important to point! GOP establishment is determined to elect H.Clinton! ” PARTY” is more important than We The People! Please Americans take our great Country back! GOP thinks we’re stupid but we can show them by supporting Trump! Best Agenda is “AMERICA FIRST”!!!!
He is so very disappointing! He is a traitor!
Trump 2016
No better words have been written! I shake my head each day I see another comment made by a man I ONCE respected enough vote to be our next President. How wrong I was and now it is being validated every single week. I wonder if “Mittens” may have a medical (dementia, or early onset Alzheimer’s) causing non-stoppable tirades against Mr, Trump. It makes we wonder if Mittens had switched over and is now a Democrat! It certainly appears that he is out to divide the Republican party and guarantee that KILLERY will be the next POTUS! He is putting the election and our Country in “Harms Way” for sure. I only hope when voters read or hear his message they will ignore him and see what a sore loser he really is.
Thank you, Maggie!
It is Mitt’s “EGO”…He needs to get it under control. I had lost respect for this man. I too cried when he lost, but for everything there is a reason. All we can do is ask this , : what was the lesson to be learned and what can be done about it ? We will continue to support Donald Trump no matter what negative and biased reporting we hear.
Romney is such a dissapointment. He is so green with envy he can’t think clearly
Mitt, if you still don’t get it after reading this letter shame on you and those who follow your thinking! This is the best open letter I have ever read! God Bless the writer and Donald Trump because unlike you he cares about us!
Amy, when i was in service then i mailed in my vote to support Matt, and when i read the stars and stripes that Oboma won i was lost for words, and all i have said was GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY,thank you very mush for the letter you put on face book.Thump 2016–2020.
Me too- I was a volunteer for him and he did choke but now wants Trump to lose too, someone whose endorsement he was only to happy to accept. I do not get any of these so called conservatives – they are all phonies. There is at least one, maybe more Supreme Court Justice at stake and they know this but they do not care, which means they do not care about their country.. they put their own personal feelings first, selfish to say the least. I am ashamed to have had anything to do with him.
Totally agree. And if the liberals want gun control after what happened in Orlando, here is how both sides of the aisle can be pleased. A person may not buy or own guns if he or she has a known ties to Islamic terrorism.
Thank you, John!
Trump for 2016. Yes, America First.
Amy I like pugs too.
Everyone here is crazy! Trump is the worst human to run for president in my lifetime! Mitt knows he can’t win when America wants a big mouthed, uneducated, name calling, juvenile for a president. Mitt has integrity. Trump aka Biff from Back to the Future III. Has none!! Ugh pull your heads out of the sand! TRUMP IS NOT THE ANSWER!! God save us all.
If you support Hillary, you’re crazy! She doesn’t know how to do anything but lie, lie, lie… she’s never done an honest day’s work in her life. When her lips move, she can be assured she’s lying!!! Poor little victim Hillary! As Obama once said, “she’ll say or do anything to get what she wants.”
Thank you ,my sentiments exactly.
Beautifully expressed. That tearie eyed old man was right after all He doesn’t care about us.
Randy, he was right……I think about him now and I’d bet a million bucks he’s smiling from ear-to-ear, all-in for Trump! 🙂
Amy, that was a great article you did and yes I think you are right about that old man smiling ear-to-ear now. You can bet he is on the Trump Train. I have been disappointed with the GOP for years, but now Donald J. Trump has me all excited as I feel there is finally some HOPE!
Amy I was not that old man but I could have been. The DC establishment has been lying to us for god only knows how long! If we don’t take it back this time with Trump it is gane over for sure. Say a prayer.
That’s right, Randy. I hope that guy is a HAPPY Trump supporter today!
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Thank you, Marcrea!
Wow Amy, thank you for saying a lot of what I’ve been thinking and feeling about Mitt! I’m so sick of his pitiful bad mouthing of Donald J Trump, the people’s choice for the Republican Party, that I can’t stand too see his face on Facebook! God bless you, but he’s such an ass it won’t matter.
Thank you Danette. Your words mean a lot to me. 🙂
I’m with you Danette, I can’t stand to see Mitt’s face on Facebook anymore and to think I supported him in 2012.
Mitt does not speak for me. I’m all kinds of “minorities” rolled into one and Trump is not racist and does not offend me. He is a truth-teller and we desperately need him so that we can still live and conduct ourselves as FREE Americans.
Well said!
Mitt is guarantying Hilary will be president just because he is scared of losing his gravy train. America will no longer exist if Hilary wins the election and Mitt and others like him in the establishment are assuring that will happen. Donald Trump is the best man for presidency. He has strong values like Ronald Reagan. The best thing is that he can’t be bought and manipulated!!!
Mitt destroyed the dignity of Republican Party and brought embarrassment to his Mormon Religion!. I thought he was a real decent man.I was wrong. He doesn’t know how to reciprocate and appreciate good things in life. He is a real loser and a dirty politician. Shame on you Mitt Romney!.
Mitt came very close, he had a lot of us fooled. His current actions will almost guarantee, there will never be a Mormon elected President? He needs to go the way of Harry Reid.
I too did support Mitt Romney twice and feel betrayed but I am old enough to know that sometimes we are “fooled” by people we think are honest and caring. We learn the hard way but in time we recognize what a scary world we live in. I hope and pray in his older years right now, he will repent and stop this utter jealousy which will only burn a hole in his heart.
Old soldiers never die, they just fade away! Please Mitt be a good soldier….
Great read, I was one of those who voted for him. I am very much discussed with him now. Sure hope he doesn’t run for anything in the future because he’ll never get a vote out of me again.
My sentiments, exactly, Mary! I wasn’t really excited about Mitt Romney; hovever, when I looked at the alternative, what choice did I have! I feel, like Amy, he is showing his true colors……and we can color him “globalist elite”, no question!! I’m so disgusted with him, and the others who are in that same globalist boat. We must fight them at every turn!! Donald Trump is not perfect, but, if he gets half what he is proposing done, we might be able to save our republic after all!! I’m going to continue to pray for that!
well said, Jan!
Thank you! I regret ever voting for Romney. He is trying to doom us to Hillary!
Me too, Beverly. I am so disgusted with him. He makes me sick.
I was that teary eyed old man. #Trump2016
Oh Joe, thank you for this post. Very apropos and touching.
She’s said it all in a few brief sentences !! Like THIS one:
“You failed because you remained the same rigid, neocon globalist you’d always been during a time when the notion of change was whirling around us like a tornado.”
Well…there it is !!
Thanks !
Thank you, James! Your post and thoughts are appreciated by me!
You said exactly the right thing. Good for you. I, too, was a Romney supporter but now can hardly look at him on FB. Go Trump!
The problem was the guy with the promise of “Change” was an undercover globalist with an agenda for a different type global government. Mitt’s elite attitude gave us these last 4 years and a lot of people really don’t like him since the last election but he thinks the World still loves him. Very well written letter by Amy.
I totally agree Terry. That one paragraph says it all.
Romney has turned out to be a digrace to our country. He hides money overseas and doesn’t care if Hillary wins and appoints ultra left supreme court justices who will further take us to communism. The borders will remain porous and we will have so many new people on the dole. The unfair trade deals will just get worse and we will not get the many jobs that Donald could start up. And why does Mitt carry on like a setting hen? It’s the money, folks. He has to be taking big money from people like George Soros or other filthy rich who have caused all of our economic problems. Really enjoyed Amy’s letter because it tells us what kind of person Romney is.
Thank you, Terry!
I wanted ran Paul voted for mitt now trump for USA by the way ran Paul would be a great VP for trump young and loyal like Jeff and newt but much older
Thank you Amy.
My sentiments exactly, written with heartfelt eloquence.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you.
U have to love trump he will not back down he is a winner
I know, I love that about him. He’s a fighter.
That was great well said! Romney to me is a total failure! He is no better then crooked Killary. Because he is a Liar! And that is why he is where he is now! We are voting Trump! Taking America Back! Donald J. Trump For President!
Renae, thank you – and I agree with everything you said. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.
No doubt, all the angry people have found their candidate in The Donald! I agree, that Romney had his chance and he needs to move on over, but my memory is not so short to how it all went down. Let’s face it, either people lied in the polls and then just stayed home when it came time to vote (can’t be having a Mormon in the White House), or the polls were cooked to make things look better than they were for ole Mitt. Like you, I shed a tear or two when Obama got a second term. I couldn’t believe that the people would rather continue down the same rabbit hole. But, the candidates we elect into office is a reflection of who we are as a society. I am not going to lie, Trump scares the bejesus out of me and I do not think going from one extreme to the next is the solution. On the other hand, I will never, NO, NEVER vote for Hillary! So, there is my canundrum – I do not feel represented by either candidate and like Mitt, would love to have a better choice. I guess it is just the times we are living in – hold on to your seat – we’re in for a wild ride!!!
Brenda, thank you for this response. I appreciate your words and that you took the time to respond. If I may be so bold and ask you to read one more piece of mine. It kinda goes along with what you said.
http://truthfeed.com/what-trump-means-to-us-my-passionate-response-to-a-nevertrumper/5637/
Fascinating and awesome read Amy!
Brenda, I believe that people see Trump as extreme is because he is honest, bold and different. It takes all of that to be successful in business. He is a true motivator if you can see thorugh the rose colored glasses, or look through the trees and see the forest! He is Only trying to wake up and showing the Amy’s of the world (4 years ago) the true reality of what we are living! And that is under a tyrannical government that is NOT for We the People!
I don’t understand how ANYONE can not feel represented by Mr Trump, unless they are just uninformed. I completely understand how easy that is to be, with all the mainstream media lies, and the indoctrination and brainwashing by the govt stolen school system! Trump only wants to get us back to a Free Republic with 50 sovereign states and THAT represents this entire COUNTRY that are TRUE red blooded Americans and those that came here legally to LIVE the American Dream!
With that said, I wonder what it is that you don’t feel represented on?
Thank you, Kelly! great comments by you!
I agree, mitt Romney doesn’t care about the American people.but trump does,
These comments are as I feel and the most of the others that I have talked with.If Romney, had used just a little of what Trump has, he would have been president now.
I agree Mitt is shameful not only to the party but to we the people ,I love #Donald Trump he is exactly what we need ,strong, aggressive , and still has enough heart to help people who need it but not munchers ,the democrats are a mean bunch and I’m afraid of what they will do .maybe even the Rebulicans .
Excellent piece Amy. I wholeheartedly agree.
ABSOLUTELY well said. Mitt Romney is a bigger disappointment this year than he was in 2012…and THAT was really hard to do.
Thank you, thank you, thankyou . There is not enough thank yous for what you wrote. And it’s so true. He is so into himself he can’t see out. He looks down at the people. He thinks he is so above us. We need to get the corruption out of our white house as soon as possible.
I was all out for Mitt also. If he can’t get behind the nominee like he should, I really wish he would at least shut up. There is a choice between two people. If you are not for Trump, you are for the criminal. TRUMP 2016 !
Amy… you have precisely expressed the sentiments of millions people. You are an exceptionally talented writer.
It was a pleasure reading your honest, articulate and eloquent words young lady.
It’s a shame that you even had to write this piece – thank you nonetheless, Amy.
I can tell your parents did a terrific job – don’t forget to thank them every now and then…

** Trump 2K16**
Yay!!!!
Superb, Amy!
You are a wonderful writer!
God bless America and God Bless Donald Trump and God Bless Amy for exercising her gifts!
What a great letter and I, as well, have always been a staunch Republican. You tell it like it is. The party has played ostrich so long that they do not know what is going on in America. It is not that Mr. Trump is superlative but that he sees the issues and might make this place better. Say your prayers.
Amy
Very well said! I feel exactly as you do! It is Trump who is breaking the wall of same old political game! Mitt and Ryan should be ashamed of themselves! They blew their chance and now it is time to rally behind Donald Trump to take back our country! Obama and Clinton are horrible and evil people! We must rally behind Trump and get this country back! Thanks Amy for you courage!

Now we know that Mitt is a back bitter to do this to Trump after he supported and give money to mitt.
Well said! Everything was right on the mark and is exactly how I feel. We need to run the Grand Old Party out of DC.
I have been with Mr. Trump since day one when he announced. I was waiting for him to announce to become involved again in Republican politics after taking a 20 year break. But today as I sit here and read your letter, I hope and pray that I am not feeling the same way you are about Romney, 4 years from now. Although I fully support Donald Trump, as with any candidate, you can never be totally sure that they will live up to expectations. #Trump2016
Amy, thank you for posting this letter. Mitt Romney remains to be a sore loser. Allowing CNN, ABC, and NBC to present Republicans, as narrow-minded bigots, like Romney; Makes me furious when programs continue to portray Republicans to this negative stereotype. I am sorry I ever voted for him, we all make mistakes. Mitt Romney needs to join the Dems and move out of our way for President Trump.
Amy, I worked that campaign as well .. out of the W. Tropicana office… handled mapping and occasional phones… As much as I loved the Romney family, I felt much like you did … that something wasn’t quite right about it all. I want my country back … Mitt probably wouldn’t have openly fought for it … and that’s why I think he lost. I appreciate your words more than you could know .. having been there in the trenches as well. His time has come and past, it has become time to unchain the bulldog, as America doesn’t have much time to bring back it’s greatness. I loved this post… looking forward to hearing more from you!
I agree with every word.
fFor the life of me I can’t understand why ones like Mitt Romney, Billy Kristel and others for taking such a stance against Donald Trump. He is speaking for “we the people”. For once somebody is speaking up, saying what needs to be said and not backing down. He is taking on the press who has been manipulating the people for years. They are not journalists . Wake up America. Get out a vote for Donald Tru;mp
Well said, I too was a tireless worker for the last Romney presidential election. He was my Governor, I believe in him. I thought he was dedicated, had class and a very good business man that would help this country. His slamming Trump has changed my mind completely. Now he sounds jealous fool. Do I love Trump, no, but he certainly does say the things I believe in. Any I am a ABC voter. Go Trump, America needs you.
I have been a Huge fan of Romney’s since his days as Govenor of Mass. It bothers me deeply that he has come out against Trump as he has. Had he only gone after Obama like that, he would have been President the past two terms. And we would not be in the mess we are in. That politicians on both sides are teaming up against Trump speaks volumes. And not in a good way. Disillusioned with the state we are in, the direction we have been and continue to travel. Disillusioned that 50% of we the people just don’t get it and are willing to sign our death warrant by putting Hillary in charge. Good God, hasn’t she done enough damage already ??? We need someone to FIX things, not continue the downward spiral. That person is none other than Mr Donald Trump. I Wholeheartedly believe in him. Please Mitt, accept the people’s will, you cannot possibly believe that Hillary is in any way, shape or form fit to be president. Please Mitt, make the necessary apologies (namely to Trump), hope the damage you’ve tried to do can be undone and help unify the Republican Party. Otherwise, it will be the end of the world as we know it.
Thank you, so we’ll said.
I didn’t like Mitt, but swollen it and voted for him.
HE DIDN’T COME AGAINST OBAMA LIkE HE Does TRUMP. He forgot we voted for him. Now he needs to go away.
Beautifully written…I might add though that my father always told me that if you don’t vote, you have no right to speak..Mitt has stated he will not vote for either Trump or Clinton…I say, then shut the hell up and crawl back where you came from. You had your chance, you lost, twice…sit this one out.
People keep calling Trump followers angry. We Are not angry…. We’re hopeful.
HOPEFUL!
Trump has given us hope for something better than what we have had in a long time. Please people for Trump…. Do not let them call us angry…. Their way of dismissing us. We are hopeful!
Trump is the only one who can deal with the 21 trillion hanging over us. Those who don’t understand this are clueless.
ROMNEY IS AN UNGRATEFUL BACK STABBING POS.
Thank you for your letter. Amy, I knew in March of 2012 that Obama was going to win reelection. Even before Romney was looking like he was going to win the nomination. I saw that Romney wasn’t much different than Obama. After all, Romney gave us the first state to approve gay marriage and the father of obamacare, Romneycare. At first I wasn’t going to vote for Romney or any candidate, because I knew what was going to happen and that my vote would make a difference. But my wife talked me into voting, very reluctantly for Romney. This time around, both my wife and I are on the same sheet of music. Trump had us from hello. Now Romney comes from under his rock and goes after Trump, like he should have went after Obama. It have been an easy win, there was more than enough stuff that could have been used in campaign ads. And the people were fed up with Obama already. If Romney had went after Obama, like he’s going after Trump he would be president today. But he’s afraid that the globalists gains will be lost if Trump wins. Which makes Romney a traitor to America, because the goals of the globalists is the destruction of the United States. I’m very happy with Trump and support him enthusiastically. This may be our last chance to turn this ship around before is crashes.
It is so hard to wrap my head around why some of the career politicians such as Mitt Romney and the like are turning their backs on a man that wants to make our country great again. Isn’t this what they want too, that our beautiful country prospers again? My disappointment in these backstabbing, disloyal politicians has turned into anger which is not a good emotion to have. I voted for Mitt Romney because I thought he’d be the best man for the job as Obama was on the wrong path to put our country back track. Now 4 years later our country is even in a bigger mess than ever, and it scares me to think of Hillary Clinton being the next president because of some politicians in my party being jealous and immature that the best man won. Romney, Kasch, Cruz, Ryan and all the rest of you non-supporters of Trump need to do the right thing and either support the peoples choice which is Donald Trump or stand back and be still. If you don’t want to support our choice of candidate then out of respect for the people that voted you into office, please STOP with your hateful, disrespectful, and lack of loyalty comments and let us fight for who we believe should be our next president without you sabotaging our choice…Thank you.
Bonnie, I’m not sure that the Elitist you talk about (Romney, etc) want what’s best for the country, they want what’s best for them…that being them being in control. The reason they are turning their backs on Trump is because 1) they won’t be in control, and 2) they are afraid their sandcastles will come tumbling down and their sins exposed.
I will always remember that smiling idiot Romney on stage the night when he lost to Obama (because he did not have the fighting guts to call Obama the evil that he is). There he was the general who left his troops without any hope other than the future imprisonment of socialism — an he smiled with “zero” sorrow or angst! After all he is rich — he can run when it goes to poo poo!
I can’t stand anyone like Romney or Cruz or Kasich who won’t get behind their party’s candidate. That is the most evil thing when the money they make illegally is more important than the American people! Trump has no agenda. He doesn’t need that money that all the others are getting rich on. He’s already rich! He only wants to do what’s right for America, but the liberals have put so much propaganda out there downing him, that people who don’t listen to to any news but CNN and network, only know what the left tells them. It’s sad because Trump truly cares about the American people, and only wants to do what’s right for us and for America! Because of people like Romney, Cruz and Kasich, the conservatives will no longer have any say in government. If the Democrats win, they will control Congress and the Supreme Court. We might as well all move to Timbuktu as it will be miserable living here any longer. Of course I won’t do that, but another reason I hope that Mr. Trump wins is because some very unpleasant people have promised to leave if Mr. Trump is elected! Thanks Amy for saying what all of us are thinking!
Thank you, Amy because you’re telling my story, as well!! I volunteered here in Gulf Breeze/ Navarre, Florida in a strip mall office, making those same phone calls!! But, it was my first time (I am now 60) to really rally for and really get involved. I deeply felt I had to keep out, then get the evil O, out of OUR White House!!
I, too am so sick and disappointed in Mitt and Paul!! So, again, THANK YOU, AMY for writing this eloquent letter for me, too!!!!
I am with you, Amy! You just put into wonderful descriptive words with eloquent expression exactly what most everyone is thinking and saying in their own feeble ways! Thank you! Adios, Mitt, to the political graveyard you go!
Very nice essay on why the GOPe are dead to most of us that have always voted GOP as the lesser of two evils, after Reagan I had to hold my nose to vote Republican, most of them are no different than Dems. DC corrupts, power corrupts, look at the Clintons, now billionaires, not because they did a damn thing for the country but they sold their influence.
I never saw Mitt as a viable candidate. Aside from any argument on religion, stiff deliveries, and his political history, I think the true underpinning was because he wasn’t a republican. A republican is a conservative who stands on humanitarian efforts based on agendas of the adage “…teach a man to fish” and less the ideology of “what is in it for me”.
His behavior and defamation’s as of late show it is his pride that he feels is at risk, not this country. The groundswell movement that Trump has fostered was never found in Mitt’s campaign. For good reason.
I believe Trump embodies the very spirit of that old adage. Put America first isn’t about anti-antisemitism, racial tensions, or even the solidarity of wealth being the only beacon of strength as so many detractors are claiming. From my vantage point it is this effort and that is get your house in order before you assist others with theirs, find strength in the unity of patriotism, and build trust in the people governing the affairs of citizens. I am never short for words so let me end it here before you give me the TLDR moniker, and simply say thank you for sharing your letter and concerns. Have an amazing day.
James
I too, was an ardent supporter and campaign volunteer for Romney. He was my first choice and he wasn’t my second choice. But when he became the nominee, he became my only choice. I completely threw my support behind Mr. Romney, even going so far as to beat the streets and knocking on doors. I was so upset during the second debate, when Romney just choked. And now, I am utterly appalled at his behavior in regard to Mr. Trump. Never again. #Trump2016
You say what many want to.
Brilliantly written, Amy. Eloquently expressed. May your words morph into painful arrows, and pierce Mitt’s corrupt heart.
Wowza I couldn’t stop reading,Amy you had to have written a few books. This letter blew me away, feel sorry for Mitt when he reads this.If Mitt don’t get aboard the Trump train after reading this he is officially a Democrat.#VOTETRUMP #Trump2016
Thank you for telling the truth on the Washington establishment (Both Parties)
I agree with all so lets all get out and vote for Trump Trump Trump Mitt is a has been\\\\
Mitt does not care about the country he is worried how he will not be adding millions to his vast wealth because Trump is going to create an ethical administration. Mitt also can leave the country and live very well off his off shore accounts. Politicians don’t want Trump because they realize the Party is over. When Trump wins, I am going to rent a banner flag going over Washington with banner saying The Party is Over. Thank you for such a letter of integrity!!!!!
I thought Romney was a great candidate for the Republican Party and I voted for him, he lost…..I feel we as a country needs a change and I believe Trump is it. He truly loves this country and is fighting to bring it back. He deserves the chance and God put him up for the job and we all need to support him together we win, divided we fall..Get on the team like we did for you..GOD BLESS AMERICA…….
Great letter. I kind f feel the same way. Months of wasted time…
Thank you for this letter , hope Romney read this, Romney destroy Republican party. Big time Loser.
Great letter. Mitt is trying to save the political corruptness in D.C. He is part of the problem. I mean how embarrassing for him for Trump to win being able to succeed where Mitt failed.
Mitt is the embarrassing and Trump-that bombastic, thin-skinned, clueless to foreign and domestic policy shock of hair isn’t? Wow.
Thank you. you nailed it! This has to stop or else we will never recover are losses!
Thank you Amy for your clear picture and honestly! It’s so refreshing to hear truth! I am and will continue to support the true Republican Party, it is just heart breaking to see what the party and country is moving towards…..I will be voting for Mr. trump ….
Amy Moreno,, WOW I think trump is the answer. It kills me to think Romney won’t Back a winner I to believed in Him. In Politics Mitt was the Lamb and Obama was the Wolf But Trump is the Sheep Herder Strong Smart and Knows How to lead We can win with Trump I truly Never Had that Feeling about Mitt. He was a Wimp. The Demoncrats Bullied Him at every Turn. He didn’t fight back. Trump is the Opposite of Mitt and we Don’t Have to worry about him being bullied. I wish Mitt would Help us win but I fear he is still the Lamb. So the Next Best Thing that The Lamb can do is shut up and continue to Graze on the hillside of Failure. Amy God bless you for this article You Put into words What Millions of Trump Supporters wanted to hear about Romney.
Thank you for your great letter. Mitt and the Bushes are sore losers. Wake up the world has past you by.
Amy I could not have worded that response any better, you literally took the words out of my mouth, I felt the same when Romney lost (I thought he should have done much better than that), you have worded the same sentiments that many of my friends have, though not as eloquent as you. thanks for putting down your thought cause I had been feeling guilty about my current feelings for Romney but now I understand.
Amy, I experienced some awful criticism when I campaigned for Mitt, as well! Until I saw the Candy Crowley and Mitt’s non-response I really thought Mitt to be the sharpest mind of them all! He really gave us away to the Obama regime in that “debate,” but I saw it only in retrospect! Now after these awful eight years, I still could not believe his rudeness in dissing Donald Trump. I am alarmed at my own naive acceptance at the NWO schemes and frankly shocked at the fact a bishop of his chuch, a former missionary and the pretense of the man in his appeal to the people as though he were their, our, my equal!!! Equally, a child of our Father in heaven who inspired the U. S. Constitution!!! He owes us an apology, big time. I am waiting for one. He knows my name. He took my money. I moonlighted as a cashier to make extra money to support his run for the presidency. #Trump2016. #TrumpandOnlyTrump
Disappointed in you and Paul Ryan. If the country is going to change we Need Trump.
I wish I would have written that letter too. Romney and Ryan are a disgrace to what makes this country great. Finally, we have someone to vote FOR and these sore losers are hell-bent on ruining it and our country. They figure they will hand the election to Hillary and be serious about the presidency in 2020. If we lose this year, there will be no 2020. Hillary would have granted amnesty to all the illegals, thus overrunning the ballot box. TPP will be passed and the rest of our jobs will have disappeared. We will become 100% dependent on her donor’s oil, the Muslims will have invaded and we’ll look like Germany. We won’t have a country that we recognize. This is our last chance. No one is perfect, but Trump is a true patriot who loves this country, has sacrificed millions (without ever asking us for donations) and even put his life in danger. All he wants to do is give back to his country. This is our last chance to put America first!
It is refreshing to read a coherent, well written piece that states our case and manages to do so without profanity and viciousness! I am so tired of the left wing posters who cannot spell and cannot comment without hate filled profanity riddled prose. Thank you for writing this letter, for me and for all of us who view Donald Trump as an agent of change and who isn’t afraid to speak to the American people honestly.
As for Mitt: Enough already. While I am sure your ego enjoys the publicity when make your ridiculous “Dump Trump” comments but divisiveness people like you are what keeps the Republican party unable to fully unite.

Hi, Amy! Simply composed but with the right tone to make him sober without hitting him with a hammer on the head. The American voters are right this time, Trump 2016…
