5 Reasons Trump Won the GOP Nomination
With Donald Trump shocking the world by becoming Presumptive GOP nominee, it’s time to reflect on some lessons that can be learned from his historic victory. Here are 5 reasons Trump won.
Reason 1) Trump Was Authentic
While Marco Rubio rehashed memorized lines and Ted Cruz treated debates like a prosecutor in a courtroom, Trump was just himself. After a tele-prompter president in Obama, voters want authenticity. Trump’s stream of consciousness speeches engaged and entertained audiences, letting them connect with him on a human level. In interviews he remained calm and collected as viewers could tell he was not trying to hit specific talking points, but just answering questions with his honest feelings. There is a human instinct to “shut down” when you realize another person is giving a carefully prepared statement. Trump never appeared rehearsed and thus won the “who would you rather hang out with” vote by a landslide.
Reason #2) America is Sick of Being Politically Correct
Every time Obama refuses to say the term “Radical Islamic Terror” Trump’s Poll #s go up. Every time the liberal media thinks they can pass off calling illegal immigrants just “immigrants” or “Hispanics” Trump’s Poll #s go up. Americans have had enough of political correctness. An anchor baby is an anchor baby and Trump tells it like it is.

Reason #3) Most Voters Hate Elite Media Pundits
Fox News, owned by Globalists who hoped to shill Jeb or Rubio all the way to the nomination, used the most awful tactic possible to try to stop Trump. They believed they could tear down Trump by bringing in concrete personality media pundits like George Will to attack him. Instead, the boring and bitter personalities of people like George Will, Bill Kristol and Stephen Hayes were the perfect foil for charismatic Trump.

Reason #4) Social Media Now Trumps the Mainstream Media
The mainstream media is a one way dialogue – you watch the TV and if you have a decent level of perception, can tell what “they” are hoping to convince you to believe. Conversely, social media allows people to see what their peers say, comment and interact. During the GOP Nomination process there was a very stark divergence. The one-way communication Mainstream Media spread a united anti-Trump message with all their vigor, while Trump supporters dominated Twitter and Facebook on interactive social media. Social Media won.
Reason #5) America Knows You are Your Donors
A growing number of Americans have woken up to the fact that donors and special interests control politicians and only Donald Trump is not owned. Ted Cruz’s connections to his donors, even openly saying “he’ll take money from anyone” including big banks and big oil made him a much less credible transformational candidate than Trump. This is also why democrats who think Hillary will have an easy time against Trump are wrong. When Hillary claimed she would not be influenced by her Big Bank Donors during a debate, Bernie Sanders correctly retorted “The American people are not stupid.”
